Site Update

Hey everyone! As you can see, I did a little bit of a site revamp. I've changed the blogger template and added a Navigation Bar. I hope it will be useful and contain interesting information for you all.

In the process, I've updated the FAQ and I've reversed my opinion on some things: it's now totally fine if you want to write fanfiction or do other fan stuff with my characters! Maybe you can have as much fun as I do when I write stuff for them :) In fact, I've made a fan section (under the Extras tab), but right now they are mostly empty... I know some of you have made fan art--don't be afraid to show me!

I've also updated the About page with my contact info. If you guys use Twitter, I'm starting to use the #poringpelters tag to talk about the comic & you can join in too if you'd like.

I've added a "World" section which describes the cities in the game's world. They are honestly not much different from what's on iRO wiki but I've put some effort into them and I've mentioned any changes I've made from the game's lore. Like how the Knights' guild has multiple branches, etc.

Oh, I also wanted to say that I do read all your comments and you can always comment on older comics, too. I'll still see them.

And I didn't forget that today's an update day, too, so go see it~

Dialogue Decisions

Angevon's Comments:
Personally, I think the dialogue style I have been using was cute at first, since it is based on how text is shown in-game in Ragnarok Online, but I think it's outdated and the text can be done a better way.  But I don't know if any of these options are 'better' ...

You can also tell me how to modify any of these options to make them better, too. Or send me/show me another way you think would be good.  I'm kind of at a loss, so let me know!

So, anyone play Mabinogi?

Against my better judgement, I have rejoined the NA server of Mabinogi. This time I'm on Rua...iri. Did I spell it right? heh.

If anyone else plays there, add me! I need G1 helper slaves friends. I'm playing as Angevon, of course.

Cameo Rules: Okay I'm putting some rules up because some cameos just won't fit into the comic without distracting or detracting from it.
All trans. and 3rd class knights will be made into normal knights.
If I don't like the dye you use I'll change it. I don't have color-dyed spritesheets, you know.
If I don't like your crazy headgear, I'll change it.
No wings. Really, now.
The more normal your character is, the more likely I'll use your character.

By the way, your comments won't show up immediately --- I have to approve them, first.

I reserve the right not to use your character.

News May 13, 2009: New Site Revealed !!

Hello, this is Angevon, and welcome to Poring Pelters' new home!

For those who didn't know, geocities is going under. I spent the last two weeks moving all the comics from there into posts here. That's 368 freaking posts. Ugh!

Yes, the new site is a blog, hosted by Blogger. For those who are unfamiliar with blogs, or really hate them, don't worry! I've tried to make the site as professional and non-blog as possible, and I am happy with the results. It looks a heck of a lot better than the old geocities did, that's for sure!

Why Blogger? There are actually many reasons I chose to go blog format.
1. It's free. Well, yeah, that's my biggest concern.
2. Ad free! Unless I turn on the AdSense option, which I won't.
3. Owned by Google, so it'll probably last :)
4. I'm allowed to edit the template. That's how I got the site looking as pretty as it is! I've used WordPress before, but you have to subscribe (pay) before you can save any changes to the template.
5. Other options suck. Period.

That sounds like a huge plug for Blogger, doesn't it? Oh well.

What's new here!
NEW COMICS. Well, not yet. I promised in May, so, I will have new comics starting Friday, May 29th. I spent so much time creating this site that I haven't had time to catch up making comics like I had planned.
Comments. You can add comments to any comic! I'm excited about this, but I'm also apprehensive, so I'm going to moderate them. I hate the spam I've seen on drunkduck comics.
Remade Prologue. I remade the old prologue comics because they were hideous, grainy JPGs! Also I didn't seem to care where I put text boxes and emotes.
Anyway, if you've ever had a friend not read my comic because the first comics were so bad, well, they have no excuse now. Muahaha.
I've kept the old version as links in my comments section.

Hey, everyone. Since geocities is going under, I decided it best to switch the ol' comic to a blog format. Actually, so far I think I've made it so nice & pretty that it hardly resembles a blog.
