He's going to slice it in half. Unless he doesn't want to get his sword wet, then he'd pick up Edgar's spears to bat it out of the way. The later would take too much time though, so the former is more likely because it's instinctive.
He could: - roll backwards. - throw the sword somewhere close to him. - wonder how the holy water didn't spill and throw the spear. - face backwards so he won't get wet.
Hmm, noticing Glass preoccupation, I don't think that will work...
