With an Alchemist, you will never need to go monster hunting again when you have a high enough potion making skill.
Can just buy Yellow herbs, potion bottles, and bowls, and sell back Yellow Potions in exchange. Generally around 200ish Zeny in profit for every potion you make. Red potions sell for too little, and white herbs you can't buy, so those two are knocked down.
Of course, spamming an F key, and the enter button is very, very, boring and tiring. And some servers, you can't purchase any type of herbs period (even though they are supposed to be in the pet store for food for Porings and such). I've made probably 25 Million Zeny without killing a single monster on some servers.
And he'll ask Keithos to baptize it with Aspersio (though I'm not sure if that would help him: Keithos sucks at magic... Though that's very important for a priest [melee] to have a high level Aspersio...)
it's only a 1700z spear, he's gona need a better weapon to top maramasa anyway.
