In Western cultures, the #13 is considered bad luck. Elevators in hotels skip the 13th floor and go straight to 14 without collecting $200.
I'm not sure what Friday has to do with it, though.
I'm much more afraid of going out on April Fools' Day.
Friday is supposedly an unlucky day.
