Well, even if he did, it wouldn't work, as the guildmaster would attack him as soon as he tried, and being attacked immediately before or during use will make the skill fail. Plus, he is surrounded by enemies who have him in their sights, with nowhere in particular to hide from a storytelling standpoint.
